Programmer Analyst II, Production Technologies Solutions
Production Technologies (PT) Solutions delivers critical application support for Countrywide?s production divisions. PT Solutions supports, among others, the four major loan origination systems EDGE, EDICT, ADVANTedge and AS400CF. These systems enable the branches and telemarketing to electronically process and fund loans and to access loan data. Team members provide immediate resolution of critical application or data problems which are impeding users from completing loan processing or loan funding, as well as permanent resolution of critical problems by performing analysis, determining requirements of a permanent solution, and performing the project management activities required to achieve permanent solutions.
The Programmer Analyst II, Production Technologies Solutions supports a Loan Origination System with over 9000 users. Will be working in an extremely fast paced environment and requires a consistent productivity level. Involves interaction with many disciplines and diverse groups of people with varying skill levels. This individual will be expected to manage multiple system issues through to resolution, often involving the coordination efforts of any and all departments involved in the issue.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Management of system issues through to resolution, often involving the coordination efforts of any and all departments involved in the production issue.
- Supports a Web based application plus client/server modules and services with 2400+
users in a fast paced critical environment. Requires a consistent productivity level dealing with issues ranging from simple and repetitive to highly complex.
- Does not entail coding or bug fixes. This is not a development position, however,
reading and analysis of code is required and light development projects may be occasionally
assigned for the creation of support tools.
A successful candidate will have:
- Experience with Documentum.
- Experience with application support and resolution of issues.
- Familiar with imaging technologies. Additional imaging software, such as WINCMSS, Kofax, Snowbound, Captiva Indexing and Scanning modules.
- Hardware support experience.
- Exposure to enterprise software and multi-tier support.
- Experience with distributed applications.
- 2 - 4+ years relevant work experience (analysis, development, support).
- 2 - 4+ years work experience preferably w/ Microsoft Technologies (preferably VB,
VB .Net, or similar language(s), Windows 2000/NT).
- Relational database experience and proficiency in SQL.
- Large enterprise support experience (1000's of users, high volume of support issues,
complex systems support, large database (100's of gigs)).
- Process Reengineering/Business Process Improvement experience.
- Development experience.
- Well-rounded experience in a variety of technologies, such as, Network/Infrastructure,
Client/Server environments, Server support and Internet/Intranet experience.
- Experience interfacing with management and diverse groups of people with varying
skill levels.
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in the support environment.
- Ability to resolve complex issues and a variety of critical system through
analysis and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage and produce a high volume of work.
- Ability to participate in a 24x7 rotating on call schedule.
- Strong analytical ability and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professionalism.
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and be adept at multitasking.
- Experience with application support and resolution of issues.
