Job Duties









This candidate will be a member of UPS's RAVE project team.  RAVE is a component that provides package shipment validation and rating.  This position requires designing, implementing, and maintaining code and data.  Responsibilities include reviewing functional requirements, writing tech specs, coding, data recognition, and unit testing.  Versed in use of dev. tools/industry standards/IS standards,authors analysis doc. as defined by SDM, translate requirements of low to moderate complexity to prog. specs., write prog. specs. of moderate to high complexity from high-level specs., write prog. of low to high complexity matching detailed specs., develop/execute tests





Knowledge and Skills









3-5 years technical experience with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline.  Requires working knowledge of C++ and SQL (Java is a plus).   Requires good analytical ability, good oral and written communication, planning, organizing, controlling, decision-making, problem-solving, accountability, initiative, analysis and judgment skills.  The level of proficiency of each skill should be appropriate for the job position.
