Programmer Analyst-Lead (CTO)

The candidate will assist in the development solutions, guidance, and leadership for integrations with the current security capabilities as well as new security initiatives. Responsibilities for this position include technical design, overseeing integrations, documentation, and implementations with emphasis on detailed analysis and development issues. Provide consulting to technology application teams in the usage and integration of security services. Must demonstrate strong change management skills with the ability to ensure quality installs.

Duties include:
Drive results by providing technical thought leadership to application teams and technologies partner teams ?" from architecture through integration
Identify, assess, and resolve business issues to provide alternatives that meet cost and schedule constraints while being flexible, scalable, and re-usable
Direct on- and off-shore development teams in coding, testing, debugging, and documenting; conduct necessary reviews to ensure the highest degree of quality
Participate in architecture and design reviews
Ensure adherence to American Express technology standards
Negotiate and deal with ambiguity in resolving conflicts between standards and exceptions

The successful candidate will have to work in a fast-paced environment within a Global team, and must be flexible enough to support different roles if needed. The candidate must be a strong leader in order to work successfully with multiple technology organizations.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Business Integration and/or Enterprise Application Integration with the ability to quickly comprehend complex inter-system dependencies spanning heterogeneous platforms, and development environments to architect the quickest, most cost effective, least intrusive, optimal solution while staying within the Standard Operating Environment (SOE), adhering to the standard software development life cycle methodology, and security standards.

Proven experience in major system integration projects using integration technologies
Strong experience in J2EE framework, Federations, Strong Authentication, Identity Management and JAVA/JSP/XML/SAML/LDAP technologies
Experience with the SUN security product suite, CA Siteminder, and CISSP is a plus
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, will be essential to allow the candidate to interact with numerous groups, both internal and external, to comprehend what type of integration solution is needed and communicate that effectively to all parties involved
Possess an industry wide knowledge and demonstrable expertise in integration solutions and strategies with focus on security standards
Strong business acumen and the ability to identify key issues and their impact in a broad business context
