Programmer/Analyst -- Principle Oracle

The senior-level programmer/analyst position is accountable for production support and various development requirements of all present and future Oracle Application modules, customizations and localizations implemented globally and across Flowserve.

 

? Accountable for managing technical (RICEW object) aspects of all Oracle applications implemented in Flowserve sites world-wide. 

? Serves as the technology expert responsible for training other developers globally.

? Collaborates with Flowserve functional experts and database administrators to resolve all production support and new implementation issues.

? Lead and guide initiatives to replace old legacy customizations with Oracle/Flowserve standard solutions.

Responsibilities:

 

? Change management responsibility including serving as Change Approval Board (CAB) member accountable for reviewing all proposed Oracle Application Changes, and representing the technical aspects of each proposed change.

? Design/deliver standard Oracle solutions in lieu of newly developed customizations leveraging of expert level knowledge in Oracle functional/technical capabilities.

? Create and review functional/technical documentation (such as MD-50?s and MD-70?s), and supervise the execution of the development process by offshore development resources.

? Resolve production support issues that cannot be resolved by the 2nd level production support group.

Position Qualifications:

? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or equivalent training.

? 7-10 years experience programmer/analyst experience.

? Extensive experience with SQL/PLUS, PL/SQL, Oracle forms and reports, triggers, and alerts. 

? Extensive experience in quickly resolving Tuning problems with Oracle forms and reports.

? Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills

? Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills

? Ability to quickly discern root causes of problems and drive to their solution.

? Excellent ability to productively ?brain storm? solutions with other developers and other teams.

? A propensity and interest to study and organize technical and functional concepts, and contribute to cross training initiatives.

? Global experience desired.  Travel requirements up to 20% per year.

 

Technical Skills/Experience:

 

? Oracle developer certification(s)

? XML Publisher experience

? Oracle Discoverer experience

? Web Development Skills

? Java Skills

? Linux/Unix

? Data conversion experience in Oracle Applications (items, boms, routing)
