Programmer Analyst SAP/ABAP Developer

Our client is looking for Programmer Analyst for perm position in Birmingham, AL.

Job Title: Programmer Analyst  SAP/ABAP Developer

Principal Responsibilities

- Responsible for analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and integration of new and enhanced functionality within the SAP R/3 environment.

- Work with the Business Process Teams and User Community to investigate gaps between business needs and current system functionality, research and recommend suitable alternatives and then utilize SAP toolsets to provide integrated solutions.

- Lead, manage and execute projects within a project management methodology environment.

- Participate in the analysis of program change requests; define tasks and estimate level of effort.

- Monitor and troubleshoot line-of-business applications.

- Responsible for mentoring and knowledge transfer to less experienced staff members.

Required Qualifications:

Good knowledge in SAP development technologies, with experience in the following areas: ABAP report development, ALV Grid and associated functionality, ABAP objects, SAPScript / Smartforms, Enhancements & BADIs, Data transfer using BDC?s, Data Dictionary, Classes, Screen Processing, Database Locking.

 

SAP Modules: FI/CO, MM, PP, HR, PR

 

Minimum 2 years of related SAP experience including the completion of at least one SAP implementation. Knowledge of system design procedures and the ability to translate functional business requirements into an application system or process to meet the business needs.

 

Cross-team/user relationships, concise verbal and written communications and general leadership skills. Ability to communicate issues and recommended solutions in a timely manner. Solid understanding of database structures, effective in documenting requirements.

 

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

BS Computer Science or related field

ABAP Certification

Experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment

Experience with Linux (Red Hat Distribution)

Web Development using PHP and MySQLLotus Notes Development
