Programmer Analyst, Senior 28134

Job Description: Provide delivery support for new releases of the MATRA Point-Of-Sale system and supporting systems such as TGR (Tip and Gratuity Reporting ), EDS (Electronic Deposit Slip), CPOSI (SAP interfaces), PUMBA, in addition to a large lab environment, as a member of the Centralized Application Development team supporting the Food & Beverage and Merchandise lines of business.. Support and maintain existing system, while completing work towards new initiatives and development efforts using company standard tools and techniques while working closely with MATRA POS vendor. Participate in on-call rotation that requires 24x7 support. Partner with other IT teams such as: GCSC (Global Customer Support Center), Intel Server Team, SQL DBA team, and Network Transport Team to ensure timely problem resolution. Lead/train other IT staff in performing assignments, as well as assisting management with project tracking or project presentation tasks. Prepare technical specifications for new or existing applications. Coordinate testing and implementation of WDW IT developed and Vendor developed software patches and updates. Candidate must maintain a flexible work schedule to support the operational needs of WDW Food and Beverage and Merchandise locations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent

Minimum 2 years experience in new application system implementation and support, preferably Point of Sale systems

Proven experience with supporting Windows 2003 Server, XP and XPe operating systems

Proven experience with at least five years of supporting applications developed in the Windows Environment (VB 6, Visual Interdev, XML/XSL, Microsoft .NET using C#, JAVA Script, ASP, COM+, HTML, T-SQL) accessing SQL Server (a minimum of 2 years SQL), Informix or other relational databases

Demonstrated knowledge of various network protocols such as TCP/IP

Demonstrated knowledge of PC based hardware

Demonstrated proficiency in trouble shooting techniques of application support

Proven strong customer service and analytical skills

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated initiative, dependability, cooperation and thoroughness in a large team environment

Ability to work independently and flexibly, in a rapidly changing environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certified in Windows 2003 Server or MCSE

Proven knowledge of Food and Beverage and Merchandise Lines of Business

Demonstrated knowledge of Server and Application monitoring process and establishing notification thresholds

Proven understanding of MATRA Freedom POS and Server applications

Demonstrated proficiency with SQL Server Reporting Services

Proven proficiency with Quality Assurance testing methodology

Proven proficiency with current project life cycle methodology tools

Demonstrated leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to show discretion over confidential matters
