JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for analyzing and defining problems to effect computer oriented solutions within the PlanView system environment. Gather information, prepare charts and documents describing what needs to be done and how it is to be done. Analyze existing systems; design enhancements to the existing system; develop new forms, reports and screens; confer with users; determine source data, processing requirements, output formats, timing and cost estimates, install and test moderately complex software packages if necessary, verify that systems meets performance criteria, develop test data; test and debug programs; document all procedures utilized by programs following System Development life Cycle methodology; evaluate and/or modify computer programs; select precoded program elements; develop special and general or multi-purpose programs to facilitate interface with other systems; install, document, maintain compilers, programming of other software packages and database systems; monitor systems performance; plan, design and implement data communications networks, including computer-to-computer links, terminal to mainframe links, microcomputer-to-microcomputer links and provide assistance to users on how to use the PlanView system environment.
The general role of the back-end administrator is to set up, administer, maintain and troubleshoot the database(s), application installation, back-end tools, and to support the user community with technical and functionality issues as a “second line of defense”. The back-end administrator is usually responsible for communication with PlanView Product Support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads and coordinates the technical development activities of small to moderate size projects with general direction from the project manager and/or manager. Develops, tests, debugs, maintains, and documents moderately complex to extremely complex components of information systems applications. Creates and/or reviews assigned product/project deliverables for small to moderate size projects (i.e., impact assessments, external and internal specifications, code, manuals, education material, installation material, estimating project tasks, status reporting, issue resolution, etc.). Creates and reviews unit, integration, system, and/or QA test plans/scripts; executes tests; analyzes the results. Leads design reviews and code reviews/inspections for assigned projects. Provides technical leadership to project team members, clients and vendors regarding technical issues.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.

Minimum five to seven years relevant and applicable experience.
