Programmer/Developer - MDM Catalog

CITY: Louisville STATE: Kentucky COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
This position will be responsible for base support and enhancements for GE Consumer and Industrial SAP Catalogs and their applications and processes, including but not limited to ContentManager, ProductContent, Smart and batch processes:
* The Programmer/Developer position is part of the I/T Sales and Marketing team. It will require cross-functional interaction with the I/T Infrastructure team as well as other I/T departments in the US and globally.
* Numerous applications are dependent on these catalogs including the GE Online Store, CustomerNet, Consumer Call Centers, GEAppliances.com and GELighting.com.

Responsibilities include:
* Own base support for SAP Master Data Management (MDM) catalogs, their applications and processes. Lead enhancements for the same.
* Work cross-functionally with other IT teams to resolve application issues and identify enhancements/solutions.
* Interface with global team and work effectively with others who own applications dependent on the SAP catalogs

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor degree in Computer Science.
* Minimum of 3 years of IT experience including extensive experience using Java, JSP and Oracle, preferably in the Data Warehouse environment.
* Demonstrated technical skills include programming, debugging, data/logs analysis, database design and data warehousing (extracting/transforming/loading/batch processes.

Desired:
* Knowledge of standard software development practices and familiarity with common web design patterns and Java-based web frameworks.
* Clear understanding of relational databases.
* Data warehouse support experience in complex environments.
* Knowledge of Oracle and Unix shell scripting.
* Technical diagnostic expertise including problem investigation, reproduction and resolution skills.
* Hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Management (MDM) a plus.
