Programming Manager

Bellomy Research is a growing market research company that provides advertising, marketing, public opinion, media, and customer satisfaction research. As a result of our continuing growth, we have an immediate opportunity for a Programming Manager.

 

Programmers within Bellomy Research play a key role during the life of a research project.  They utilize our proprietary technology platform to program CATI/Web surveys, tabulate results, and implement custom technology solutions.  Our programmers require strong programming skills, expertise with web and database technologies, and specific knowledge of SQL, HTML, VB/.NET, JavaScript programming languages.  As a Programming Manager, responsibilities will include leading a team of programmers playing a key role in their training and development.

Skills/Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, self-directed individual capable of working within tight timeframes. Must enjoy working in a fast paced team environment, and have strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and be highly motivated to succeed.

- Strong programming skills

- 3-5 years experience with SQL, HTML, VB/.NET, JavaScript, XML

- Macromedia Flash skills a plus

- Market research experience an asset

- Proven leadership skills and experience managing staff

- Superior organizational skills, unflagging attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information

- Capable of working under low supervision with a high level of initiative and enthusiasm for learning

- Client service approach is essential

- Must have the aptitude to work in a deadline oriented, fast paced environment

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Manage, train and develop team of programmers

- Develop, test and deploy CATI/Web solutions

- Program cross-tabulations

- Implement online portal technologies

- Implement and support custom solutions
