AHM has an open position for an experienced Progress DBA. This is a senior position supporting our Progress database especially our loan origination system (UniFi). This is a full time direct position but we are willing to consider a contract to hire. May consider 6-12 month contract-only for an exceptional candidate. 

 

Responsibilities:

? Lead the effort to migrate Progress 9.x to 10.x

? Primary contact for database tuning, architecture and data analysis

? Performs all necessary maintenance activities including ensuring adequate backups and recovery procedures.

? Performs all administration functions (table modifications, index builds, views, etc.)

? 7 x 24 on call support. 

Required Qualifications:

?  Must have solid Progress experience (3+ years) although most recent experience may be in Oracle instead. Prefer 5-10 years DBA experience.

?  Be able to communication effectively both written and oral.

?  Lead technical project teams toward database and application upgrades.

?  Bachelors Degree required with some technical certifications.

?  Must understand the business needs of a production environment supporting a large Mortgage company. Direct Mortgage experience is highly desirable but other financial experiences may qualify.
