Project Director


General Requirements:
Position requires a minimum of four years development and project management experience in the airline systems industry.  This position is responsible for training, QA, TCC, Reporting and System Support. The position supervises workgroups of supervisors and staff in each of these special support areas.  The primary function of this position is to support the efficient operation of all workgroups in Air/Sea.  This includes training staff, monitoring and measuring to detect and correct procedural or systems problems, and defining and testing system improvements.

Training, Development and Administration
  Security administration
  Departmental administration
  Development and maintenance of all departmental policies
  Development and maintenance of all business procedures
  Training and review of procedures and system processes with all staff
  Phone monitoring to ensure good service, adherence to policies 
 

Systems Support
  Define departmental requirements for new systems and system changes
  Participate in IT design processes to ensure A/S standards, needs and priorities are met
  Develop and execute test plans for all departmental system functionality, as part of maintenance and project

  releases.

  Support users in review of process and system and equipment problems
  Develop and maintain list of all outstanding change and enhancement requests
  Prioritize cases to be addressed by IT with user management

 

Data Management and Business Analysis
  Develop and maintain departmental reports (using Brio/Hyperion Intelligence)
  Responsible for A/S data model and managing all proposed changes
  Responsible for data mapping and data access for data required from outside A/S
  Document business functionality and workflow
  Participate in development projects as assigned to represent A/S requirements and perspective 
 
Manage relationships (as primary contact) with key departmental system, hardware, and service suppliers/vendors
Amadeus -- GDS 
 This is the central communication vehicle through which almost all A/S work is accomplished 
 Problems and enhancements need to be regularly prioritized and escalated across workgroups

 Status reporting weekly 
 Primary point of contact for communication going from Amadeus to various IT workgroups and department.
