Project Management/PMO Data Analyst

Job Description: The Analyst Business Systems/Project Data Analyst is a project support role with a focus on project reporting, MIS support, report development and analysis, project budget analysis, project estimating, estimate tracking, resource forecasting and general number crunching.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:




Assist in consolidating data and creating MIS for support of projects.


Assist project managers as needed in supporting projects, providing data, creating reports, etc.


Maintain accurate, complete documentation, dashboards, data and reporting on project processes and execution.


Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.


Complete other related duties as assigned, support the Company’s Diversity programs.



Job Experience:
This position requires an individual with:


A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experiences with major or minor in Business or Technology Statistics.

A minimum of three years experience in a professional environment with a focus on software development and analysis including project management.

Must have a basic understanding of technology concepts and project management methodology.

The ability to interface with project managers to identify needs and assist in the management, reporting, and support of projects.

Strong communication, project management and problem solving skills.

Knowledge of project management concepts and basic desktop software (MS Office, etc.) with significant strength in Excel required.

Significant data analysis and MIS experience required.

You must have a passion for data.

Experience with MS Access (or other RDBMS), Cognos, SAS (or other business reporting and analysis tools) is highly preferred.
