Project Manager 1

Only very seasoned, senior project managers will be considered.
Required skills/experience:
* Demonstrated strong leadership skills
* Minimum 5 years experience running multi-million dollar IT projects
* Experienced managing large project teams and sub teams
* Proficient in formal project methodologies
* Excellent understanding of risk management
* High proficiency in MS-Project
* Requirements management skills
* Conflict resolutions skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent written communication skills Preferred Requirements:
* Knowledge of Legacy Systems
* Knowledge of health care claims systems
* Familiar with system development life cycles (SDLCs), such as RUP
*  Business Intelligence /Data Warehousing experience preferred
 
Education/Certifications:
* Masters degree preferred
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* PMP certification preferred
 
Duties / Responsibilities
* Facilitates and helps in obtaining, reviewing and documenting business requirements
* Works with the different business areas to prepare the project for implementation, including coordinating communications, process changes and training.
* Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing complex application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology.
* May manage multiple projects of moderate size concurrently.
* Involved in the development of strategic plans for projects of high business complexity.
* Develops detailed plans and schedules using MS Project.
* Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule.
* Assists in establishing and improving project management methodologies, procedures and policies.
* Coaches and mentors individuals on the project teams and provides feedback on performance to their leaders.
* Develops and presents project-related presentations for executive leadership.
* Adheres to Project Management Office policies, procedures and methodologies.
* Complete knowledge of the Project Management Institute's standards and terminology (including PMBOK).
* Direct and frequent involvement in sponsor, client, and customer relations to ensure that service expectations are met.
* Ensures established project budget and schedule are met
