Diebold Election Systems has openings for two Project Managers in California.  The Project Manager will have responsibility and accountability to coordinate the installation of new voting systems within major accounts (county or state).Responsibilities require the ability to assemble and lead medium to large size project teams, were team members may be drawn from multiple cross functional groups.  External resources such as consultants, contractors or company business partners may supplement the team.  Typically resources are cross functional and not fully dedicated to a single project.  Control planning and execution of the project's activities and resources to ensure that established cost, time and quality and customer satisfaction goals are met.


The candidate should have the ability to lead one or more projects involving multiple technical disciplines.  Should be skilled in the use of Microsoft Project, have experience utilizing Microsoft Power Point, and skilled in utilizing Microsoft Excel to analyze data, and be comfortable in dealing with customers.

 

Core Responsibilities:Manage the overall project from start to finish-Serve as the liaison between the customer and the company-Conduct weekly and monthly team meetings-Report to the customer and back to the company on progress- Work on California specific projects- Perform other tasks as needed

 



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

-Excellent written and oral communication skills

-Excellent organizational and reporting skills

-5 years project management experience

-Experience in large product deployments

-MS Project, Access, Excel

-Experience with putting teams together

-Must be able to work overtime and flexible hours

-Must have own car

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Election industry experience

-Public sector project management experience

-PMP certification

-BS or BA degree in applicable studies
