Project Manager - Disaster Recovery

* We are looking for local candidates only. 3-month contract located in Downtown Houston *



 

The purpose of this project is to complete the development of disaster recovery plans (DRP) for business critical applications. The primary benefit of this project is to have our client continue operating across all its business lines in the event of a disaster that would otherwise close down operations. In this role you will manage the requirement definition discussion with stakeholders and provide Project Management to the Technical DRP writer. You will provide weekly reports to upper management on the progress (KPI reporting milestone planned progress). Other responsibilities include: Ensure the work is done in line with existing guidelines, progress according to project approach/methodology, Report Progress and follow agreed plan/deliverables.

 

To be considered for this role you need to have 3 plus years experience with technical and infrastructure project management and 2 plus years of Disaster Recovery Planning experience. An understanding on how hosting organizations work with regard to DRP is required as well.
