Project Manager I - Service Level Manager
Description: Oversees the planning and implementation of an I/S project with a defined beginning and end. Projects pertain to the delivery of timely, quality IT services and/or relate to improving business effectiveness or efficiency. Works as a project manager to obtain signed service level agreements and coordinate the development and implementation of monitoring solutions. Works directly with Infrastructure, business and application teams developing, implementing, and measuring service level agreements. Works as a single point of contact for market IT and business groups to ensure all tactical day-to-day service related issues are being handled appropriately in a timely manner. Works closely with problem and change management to ensure customer needs are being met. Works with teams across Infrastructure to obtain the appropriate service related metrics to report on the services being provided by infrastructure. Frequently recommends Infrastructure Service Improvements. Works with application teams to ensure all of the business critical applications are monitored.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
o Generally a minimum of 8 years related experience.
o Service Level Agreement creation/management experience
o ITIL Implementation experience
o Thorough knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.
o Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.
o Thorough knowledge of project management life cycle, methodologies and support tools (e.g., MS Project, ABT, Peregrine, etc.).
Thorough knowledge of project management concepts, practices and techniques (Project Management certification preferred).
o Ability to promote a team environment.
o Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
o Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills.
