QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants selected may be subject to a background investigation to meet security requirements for a government contract, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information up to the Top Secret level. U.S. Citizenship is required. 

 

MUST have current experience working with Federal government agencies.  MUST be currently located in the Washington, DC area.

 

Education:

B.S.  Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline

 

Certifications:

CISSP desirable.

 

Experience/Knowledge:

?  7-10 years  networking, systems administration and/or information security/assurance experience.

?  3+ years dedicated information security/assurance experience.

?  Experience performing certification and accreditation tasks.

?  Experience with security administration, assessment and policy development.

?  Solid understanding of federal information security/assurance policies, standards and regulations.

?  Knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, common layer 4 and layer 7 protocols.

?  Experience with standard network components (router, switch, hub, etc.).

?  Experience with network scanning tools, firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

?  General knowledge of Windows NT/2000 and UNIX.

?  Experience with business continuity planning, incident response, critical infrastructure protection.

?  Experience in an enterprise environment preferred.

?  2+ years recent experience managing a team.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will serve as a Project Manager for a 5 person team responsible for performing a variety of Information Assurance (IA) activities to improve the security posture of the Federal government client.  Responsibilities will include working with the client on supporting ongoing information security requirements, including certification and accreditation tasks, business continuity planning, risk assessment, and policy/procedure development. The PM will serve as a trusted advisor to the client in information security.
