 Job Position Summary

The technical project manager will play the key role ensuring projects are delivered on time and within allocated budget. This position is responsible for ensuring target profitability goals are met for Design and Development projects. The project manager will provide accurate and timely documentation and communication to internal and external teams.
 The successful candidate for this position has demonstrated experience with the following: 

 



  Must have 2+ years of proven experience managing all aspects of Web application design, development and deployment, from business requirements gathering through final testing/deployment

 

  Must have experience as project lead interfacing between creative, technical and business departments

 

  Responsible for creating formal scoping documents and implementation plans

 

  Develops Project specification including technical, financial and resource planning

 

  Experience successfully managing teams of up to 10 individuals

 

  Ensure proper resource utilization while planning for future needs (people & material needs)

 

  Create and execute process improvement initiatives

 

  Problem-solving in stressful situations

 

  Experience with risk management activities

 

  PMI certification or other formal project management training/coursework a plus

 

 

Demonstrated Internet-Industry & Technical Skills:

 

  An understanding of Internet technology and applications along with experience in building an applications development team quickly and managing them to development milestones

 

  Must be familiar with aspects of design graphics and back-end and database development related to Web environment (design and / or coding skills not required)

 

  Document online business rules by developing site maps, functional specifications, wire frames, task flows, and schematics, crafting detailed guidelines for technical development, interface design, testing, and

maintenance of entire web experience  (should be able to provide samples)

 

  Experience in test plan creation, execution and management

 

 

Demonstrated Financial Planning & Reporting Skills

 

  Create and justify project budgets and project profitability, while managing multiple projects to scope, schedule and budget

 

  Effectively track issues and risks, communicate status and escalate concerns via status reports and communications to management

 

 

Demonstrated Strategy Skills

  Experience leading large group meetings/brainstorming sessions to gather requirements

 

  Research the competitive landscape and make recommendations relating to website organization,  information hierarchy and interface conversion techniques

 

 

Demonstrated Communication Skills

 

  Candidate must be able to communicate equally well with technical and non-technical personnel

 

  Must have outstanding oral and written professional communication skills that project a positive, professional image
