Project Manager - Oracle Applications

This is a fantastic opportunity to manage Oracle Application technology production support as a key player on a diverse & innovative team. As a member of the Nordstrom Oracle Application Team, you'll lead both Human Resource and Financial teams on mission-critical software production support.

You will be responsible for setting the timelines, assigning project resources, and determining and managing the scope of various projects. In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating & leading efforts between various teams.


You will also work in partnership with developers, business analysts, PMs and leads from other teams, business partners and users to ensure successful delivery and implementation of projects and processes. You will meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple assignments simultaneously and have the ability to coordinate deliverables and dependencies with other groups. You will exercise leadership throughout the software development lifecycle and will have direct management responsibilities.


Responsibilities:


Accountability for timely, complete and cost-effective delivery small development, maintenance, and deployment activities

Develop and maintain work plans, estimates, and schedules for multiple concurrent projects

Manage multiple software projects and day-to-day production support tasks

Develop monitoring process to ensure quality on projects and overall IT efforts

Track and manage progress, scope and hours against project work plans

Manage resource allocations across projects with IT Managers to effectively prioritize IT resource efforts across the organization

Regularly interact with IT management, supervisors and leads on project status, priority setting, and resource allocations, as well as department-wide efforts or policy-level decisions

Prepare and present project status reports

Identify critical path and manage task dependencies within project timeline


Skills and Experience:


Minimum 3 years experience in a project leadership role on medium to large scale projects

Minimum 3 years experience leading and defining business, informational and analytical requirements

Minimum 3 year effective team management and supervisory skills including


Planning, priority setting, and managing multiple efforts concurrently

Conflict resolution

Team building by coaching, motivating, and evaluating employees

3 years progressive experience in Information Technology

2 years business related experience (retail, financial, human resource, or Oracle Applications experience preferred)

Software development experience (systems analyst, programmer/analyst, or leadership role)

Knowledge of and experience working in a formalized project management lifecycle

Proven ability to communicate with all levels of staff

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated problem solving, negotiation and facilitation skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast moving, multi-project team

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or equivalent work experience
