Project Manager:Website Consolidationa; Develop QA and Training plans
Alliance Consulting is looking for a Project Manager (PM) at our Client's Hopkinton, MA facility. The successful candidate will work closely with marketing employees to translate verbal requirements into written project specifications. Other responsibilities will include status reports, meeting facilitation, project planning (reading, writing, assisting with, etc.), and issue tracking. The PM will work on marketing projects, including a project to consolidate three Client websites to a single site.
We would prefer a self-starter with strong business analytical proficiency. Four to five years of BA experience working in a structured system delivery environment desired. Experience writing training plans, and managing user acceptance efforts and quality assurance plans would be a plus.
Document and design current and future IT enabled solutions and drive all relevant business analysis to ensure the most effective recommendations are made for successful project plan completion.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Assist project manager(s) with the development of project plans including the creation of detailed work plans and timelines using project management tools.
? Work with project manager(s) to drive the integrity and completeness of the solutions delivery process. Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Return On Investment (RIO), and Net Present Value (NPV) and other relevant financial analysis. Communicate project status by publishing high quality project reports and presentations.
? Documents value statement and completes business case analysis, translating business requirements into process/functional design/system solutions. Develops and maintains project and resource plans. Maintains project quality & focus. Works with Functional Managers and Functional Finance group to determine required project application budget. Monitors, controls & reports on project expenditure against approved budget. Successfully manages end to end solution delivery process for significant projects with minimal supervision.
? Evaluate business process implications of system requirements and make appropriate redesign recommendations. Provide strategic technical insight with respect to each functional area and share expertise on concerns with integrating with other current systems.
? Accept ownership of sub-projects and manage through completion including project tracking, monitoring, reporting, and administration. Ensure standard portfolio processes are met.
? Consistently review the Request For Proposal (RFP), Request For Information (ROI) and vendor relationships and implement changes as necessary.
? Develop and execute application management processes. Develops and executes to a training plan in conjunction with business partners. Provides input to training documentation on systems. Is active in issue identification, escalation and resolution and provides on-going system support.
? Prioritize and staff technical team assignments and ensure cross functional representation on all projects.
? Responsible for establishing communication plans and delivering project status by publishing high quality project reports and presentations. Participates in functional Operational Decision Team meetings and assists in materials preparation for Portfolio Decision team meetings. Directs project team members assigned to the project and associated work tasks in a matrix environment. May provide input into performance reviews and quarterly goals.
? Establishes and maintains a close-working relationship with business partners. Successfully works with IT peers to develop, test and deliver business solutions.
? Works with Business Analyst, or individually, to lead requirements gathering sessions to complete business requirements and functional design documentation. Prepares test plans and scripts to perform system and user acceptance testing. Coordinates and drives end-user testing. Executes test cases and scenarios for the system, documents issues, collaborates with other team members and follows through to problem resolution. Reviews and approves technical designs.
? Makes small/medium process and system improvement recommendations that assist the business in achieving its goals and objectives, leveraging best practices and professional experience. Evaluates business process implications of business requirements and assesses possible design recommendations. Performs business case analysis and translating business requirements into process/functional design/system solutions.
