Project Service Planner [P20041]

Receive new project bid requests, gather high-level project requirements, and coordinate with other departments within Production Services to produce complete estimates for new project requests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Scope new project bid requests. Review documents and meet with business partners to
understand Infrastructure requirements. Coordinate with Production Services personnel to
estimate the required effort and associated costs for each project. Estimate the project
management costs for the project. Roll estimates into one complete bid package.
2. Work with the other Service Planners to understand the project pipeline.
3. Resolve issues surrounding bid research and creation.
4. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with key users of IS services, Supply and
Demand personnel.
5. Attend/Facilitate bid meetings
6. Secure proper resources and commitments from involved groups.
7. Assist in the creation of metrics for the Service Planner function
8. Promote the use of good project management practices

Basic requirements:
BS/BA plus 2-5 years of related work experience and/or equivalent. Experience managing Infrastructure projects including telecommunications, PC's, databases (Oracle, Informix), back-up systems, storage devices, mainframe, UNIX servers, WinTel servers, etc. Excellent knowledge/use of Microsoft Excel, desirable.
