Key Responsibilities:

Project Managers

 Location: Arlington VADuration:    1 + year renewable contract/ 3 months contract to hire (temp to perm). Rate: Negotiable


 
Job Description:

The ideal candidate must be able to:

1.  Provide competent leadership and will be responsible for project direction in high intensity multi-tasking environment.

2.  Successfully achieved through direction and completion of tasks within estimated timeframes and budget constraints.

3.  Schedule and assign duties to subordinates and subcontractors and ensure assignments are accomplished as directed.

4.  Enforce work standards and review/resolve work discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

5.  Routinely interface with senior management, office directors, customer's project managers, and the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) to communicate activities; draft and deliver reports both in writing and orally.

6.  Coordination of projects including the planning of projects, gathering requirements, the development of project bids (quotes), timelines, and assigning necessary sub contractors and internal personnel

7.  Coordination with other leaders within the organization to ensure project management processes are aligned to the compliment of disciplines for project delivery

8.  Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage external vendors

9.  Demonstrated ability to guide and support project managers, project teams, and business partners in solving complex issues

10.  Experience in developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraints

11.  Demonstrated ability to build constructive business relationships and gain the trust of others

12.  Participate in and/or lead presentation to clients

13.  Communicate the status of projects on an as needed basis via reports

14.  Compile and distribute meeting notes of client meetings and manage project files (binders, drawings, and electronic files).

15.  Understand site plans and installation drawings

16.  Familiar with site survey's, design and implementation of network equipment, implementation of end user equipment to include development of technical proposals

17.  Ability to create and maintain project finances and stay within budget to include development of price proposals

18.  Track project activities against objectives and adjust as necessary (identify and monitor all deliverables)

19.  Identify, troubleshoot, and monitor risks/issues related to projects

20.  Prioritize, react, and respond to daily project demands

21.  Coordinate and lead meetings and associated actions/tasks

22.  Ensure approvals, necessary sign-offs, and timely delivery on all major deliverables

23.  Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

24.  Demonstrated ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve conflicts across workgroups and teams

Requirements

?  Must be able to acquire a top secret security clearance (Clearable to TS)

?  Knowledge of or history with Federal Marketplace preferably Defence Department and/or Intelligence Community preferred.

?  Excellent interpersonal skills including anticipation, collaboration, issue resolution, negotiation, and customer relationship management

?  Superb communication skills, including the ability to present business and technical issues, ideas, and recommendations clearly in verbal, written, and presentation formats

?  Proven ability to influence change internally with team-mates and externally for enhanced customer satisfaction is critical

?  Bachelors degree and 8 years experience or 14 total years work experience (college year education equivalent to 2 work years, technical certification equivalent to 2 work years)

?  PMI Certification Preferred but not mandatory

?  3 or more years experience with Project Management and Information Technology (IT)

?  5 or more years experience in systems/business analysis and System Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
