Public Sector Systems Integration Specialist -?Pittsburgh, PA?

A Specialist at
Deloitte Consulting LLP is involved in the design and implementation of custom technology-enabled business solutions. Specialists serve clients by defining client needs and delivering specific skill sets to meet these needs on projects.? Specialists apply consistent skill sets, methods, and reusable approaches on multiple projects and clients throughout their career.? Responsibilities on a project may include: creating new application designs, developing application and architecture code, developing and executing test plans, and conducting code and quality assurance reviews.

Specialists must have:
- 4+ years of professional experience which should include either management consulting experience or deep technical knowledge in custom development or systems integration projects.
- A solid understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle, with a deep understanding of one or more of the phases.
- Experience in implementing large-scale custom development and/or
systems integration projects in one or more phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Deep experience with one or more of the following:
- Significant hands-on development experience with J2EE, .NET, or with enterprise applications such as Siebel, SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle, etc.
- Hands-on experience with BEA WebLogic Integrator, BEA WebLogic Server, BEA Portal, WebLogic Workshop, WebSphere, SAP Xi, XML, RUP, SOAP, Service-Oriented Architectures, OOD, OOM, Java, Rational Rose, and/or UML.
- Performing testing efforts, including all phases: System, Integration, and Performance Testing and ensuring traceability.
- Strong analytic skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A willingness to travel nationally to client locations.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Understanding of operations of government agencies and public policies specifically at the state and local level.
- Understanding of the
following business concepts is highly desired:? strategic planning, reengineering, organizational change, training issues, IT infrastructure development and?alignment,??IS transformation and how they align with major public policy and legislative changes within state and local government agencies.
- Experience facilitating requirements sessions.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in team environments.?
- Willingness to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment.
