The Purchasing Applications Business Analyst(BA) performs analysis and design of business systems. Acting as the liaison between the business and the development team, the BA is responsible for the logical design of business processes and systems that satisfy customer requirements. The BA remains involved throughout a project's lifecycle and is accountable that project deliverables satisfy the goals and expectations of the business.
Bachelor's Degree or 5 years Applications Programming/Analysis experience.
At least 4 years of Business Analysis experience or at least 6 years of Business Management,or IT experience.
Customer focused - excels in building long-term relationships with customers.
Develops positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members. Is seen as a team player.
Able to prioritize objectives, set personal goals and complete tasks within deadlines while maintaining focus between tasks.
Communicates effectively utilizing strong presentation and written skills. Able to translate complex information into common terms.
Able to facilitate meetings with representatives from multiple business units.
Demonstrates a strong ability to understand, analyze and solve business problems.
Explores innovative solutions while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction.
Is self-motivated and maintains a strong work ethic.
Demonstrates strong organization and administrative skills.

Experience in data analysis, data modeling, SQL, user interface design, use case diagrams and Microsoft Office tools.

Experience in application globalization (sensitive to regional conventions, languages and alternate formats).

Ability to identify and integrate appropriate products and processes into customer solutions.

Knowledge of development methodologies including working with an offshore model for development and support.

Experience in project management.

Experience in software vendor evaluation.
