Position Summary:

 

Participates in Test Planning activities and develops the test design with direction from the Test Manager.  Evaluates the business requirements for testability and maps test cases back to the business requirements. The Test Specialist develops the test scenarios/test cases and executes the tests.  Uses test tools for managing testware and test activities.

-Apply testing methodology
-Develop test cases and scenarios
-Specify test data requirements
-Create testing coverage matrix
-Execute test cases and scenarios
-Perform defect tracking
-Apply knowledge of hardware/software products

 

Education/Experience Requirements: 
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline plus 5-7 years of experience

Tools:  (1) Rational ClearCase, (2) Rational ClearQuest and Rational Application Developer (RAD 6) would be a plus, but not required


Systems: Web (Portal); Platforms: Websphere, DB2 and Java (J2EE)
