Job Description:
We are launching the next phase in the company's growth and are looking for an experienced QA Java Automation Engineer. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and communication skills, and is a strong self-starter with attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:
Work with engineering team and product management to understand new features.
Write test cases using Mercury Test Director.
Develop and Execute test scripts using Java based automation frameworks.
Automate manual test cases using Mercury Quick Test Professional.
Execute tests for specific releases as needed.
Reproduce and debug issues, analyze test reports and file appropriate bugs.
Review and comment on product documentation.
Think creatively to come up with integration scenarios based on the areas that are assigned to you in the application.
Convert bugs reported in the production to test cases with proper test data.
Experience:
5 plus years on Quality Assurance with strong contribution in application testing and automation.
Hands on experience in application test automation using java.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Must have skills/ knowledge:
Strong programming skills in java with API testing experience using frameworks like junit.
Good knowledge of XML.
Proven ability to develop and execute test scripts using proven automation frameworks.
Exposure to open source projects like Eclipse, JBoss, Ant and Axis.
Exposure in white box testing in J2EE Enterprise applications.
Application Testing Experience, like CRM applications, preferably java based.
Excellent knowledge in creating test cases by analyzing requirements and design documents.
Database skills with strong SQL knowledge.
Excellent skills in entering bug reports which can be easily understandable by others.
High energy team player with strong communication and creative problem solving skills.

Good to have skills/ knowledge:
Web Services testing experience.
Scripting language experience - candidate should be capable of manipulating test data, test results and log file using this skill for analysis and reporting if needed.
Experience testing J2EE applications using automation frameworks like Cactus or similar.
