QA - Software Configuration Analyst

Overall Requirements:  The position reviews, analyzes and ensures completion of assigned Change Request actions such that all quality control actions are brought to closure. The incumbent also monitors assigned contract software development and maintenance tasks to ensure that they are complete and in compliance with the PMM and CMMI Level 3 processes. The incumbent ensures assigned system version controls are strictly maintained over all changes throughout the development and maintenance life cycle, reviewing change accounting activity to ensure compliance with established configuration management policies. The incumbent functions as mentor to educate and motivate the development and maintenance technical staff to comply with evolving CMMI processes. Candidate should be versed in principles for control of software and overall software development/maintenance methodology in general. Knowledge of ?best practices? is desired. In addition to being part of a team that will coordinate the tailoring and streamlining of the development and maintenance processes for assigned applications, successful candidate will be expected to establish and conduct quality management audits for various projects. Candidate should have good CMM/CMMI knowledge/experience, be well organized and able to stand up to Project personnel in regard to implementation of best practices. Requires 5 years IT experience with at least 3 years experience in one or more of the following areas: quality assurance; quality control; CMM/CMMI; ISO 9000; configuration management; IV&V; software testing and integration; software metrics; metrics application to software quality assessment; and process improvement. Desired experience includes responsibilities using the Rational Enterprise Suite. Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline or equivalent experience in a technical or business discipline. Quality experience should include: ? Audits ? Document Reviews ? Review Boards ? Professional certification is a plus (ASQ, etc.) ? Knowledgeable of the SEI CMMI Model Level 2 and 3 practices ? Capable of following a CMMI-appraised Organizational Standard Process (OSP) as it pertains to the PQL roles and responsibilities. ? Knowledge of Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest and Rational Testing Tools ? Experienced with Microsoft Office skills such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project ? Ability to document technical issues in text understandable by various stakeholder groups such as customers, technical team members or managers. ? Ability to schedule and track quality-related activities for multiple task orders. ? Good communication and team skills to coordinate activities between stakeholder groups. ? Familiar with configuration management, system testing and quality assurance activities and can follow the organization?s OSP processes and procedures to perform or oversee these functions. ? Oversee metrics collection for quality-related metrics.

Key Skills: Must demonstrate strong, Rational skills, must have ClearCase Experience, including ClearCase Multi Site administration, experience configuring ClearCase to accommodate and control software form, various development tools, (Power, Builder, Visual Basics, etc.), Experience in developing Clear, Case scripts.

Desirable Skills: CM experience should include, Technical Review Boards, Con, figuration Control Boards, Rational Software Configuration, and Change Control Tools, (ClearCase and ClearQuest).
