QA Test Analyst - CT

High profile financial firm in the Greenwich CT area is seeking a QA Tester with experience with Interest Rate Derivatives or Credit Derivatives for a very high-profile project.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work closely with the business units while maintaining their QA technical proficiency.  The environment is a hybrid of Manual and Automated testing.  Tremendous career opportunity. Immediate hire on a long term contract basis with right to hire at the 70-80K+ level.

 

Job responsibilities include:
* Analyze project and requirements and contribute to test strategy and planning.
*  Create and document test cases from specifications, working with project developers and business analysts.
* Participate in requirement assessments and requirements revisions.
*  Support Clients and Business Analysts and take responsibility for testing success.
* Assist in tracking test progress and reporting results as requested.
*  Perform execution of test scripts.
*  Document and track defects through the full testing and revision life cycle.

 

Requirements Include:
*  Experience with Auto Quicktestpro (QTP).
* 5+ years of capital markets (including interest rate derivatives or credit derivatives) testing experience including an understanding of front to back office process flows and straight through processing (STP).
*  Experience working on a front office derivatives trading systems.
*  Extensive IRD (swaps) or Credit Derivatives business knowledge.
*  Experience with Pricing and Risk valuation for derivative products helpful but not required.
*  3+ years of large-scale implementation and project (scope, time, application and technical resources).
*  Experience and ability to operate across technical and business organizations.
*  Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
*  Self-motivated and able to work in a highly dynamic organization.
*  Experience of testing methodologies and end to end testing.
*  Extensive experience of creating a test plan and test scripts.
*  Extensive experience performing hands-on testing (both script based and exploratory)
*  Full understanding of QA methodology and processes.
*  Complete understanding of implementation methodology (preferably Agile, RAD...)
