The Iowa Foundation for Medical Care (IFMC) is a successful business in the healthcare industry that creates customized information management systems and is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Lead Technician to join our successful team.

Position Summary and Essential Functions:
This progressive career position is responsible for leading Software QA Efforts for Government contract projects. Previous experience with true Software Quality Assurance is critical. This includes writing SQA test plans, test cases, and summaries; leading projects and testing teams; and managing bug bases. Responsibilities will encompass performing integrated software testing using quality assurance methodologies; identifying issues; collaborating with developers to resolve issues; and implementing solutions; and serving as a technical resource and liaison between team members and developers. The position may require providing assistance in developing/updating product documentation and training materials for end users.

The Quality Assurance Lead Technician will be critical in the maintenance of the test environments and will ensure that equipment is accessible when needed. This position also manages testing resources throughout the testing cycle of an assigned project.

Qualifications:
4 yr. Degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience; 5 years experience in a formal software testing environment, including 2 years as a test lead; demonstrated experience using scripting automated testing software and testing client/server applications, including web-based user interface; demonstrated knowledge of QA methodologies, HTML, JavaScript, XML, SQL; knowledge of NT, W2K, UNIX and/or Solaris environments.
