-ALL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A LIVE WRITING SAMPLE AS PART OF  ON-SITE INTERVIEW. 

-CLIENT has established an internal test consulting team.

-This team provides a pool of test analysts who are deployed to development projects within IT. 

-CLIENT is currently seeking  test analysts who have experience on a variety of technology platforms (web, client-server, mainframe, SAP), development methodologies (waterfall, iterative, agile programming), and business domains (finance, logistics, telecomm, supply chain, distribution, transportation, marketing and sales) in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

-The candidate must be a team player and work well with other IT professionals in a project environment.

-The candidate should possess good communication skills and be able to deal with customers of CLIENT departments within the business.Primary Responsibilities1) Working with multiple test analysts, candidate will support the day to day testing activities providing an escalation path for risks to testing when necessary.2) Candidate will assist Test Services management with resource selection, including resume review and interviewing; assist also with on-boarding new resources.3) Candidate will provide mentoring on sound testing practices for IT as well as facilitate quality control reviews of active testing projects.4) Candidate will be responsible for managing fast paced small scope testing projects, prioritizing tasks as necessary, while handling administrative tasks for Test Services team.5) Candidate will work with Test Services management to gather and report monthly metrics, presenting to management when necessary.Required General Skills1) Strong interpersonal/facilitation skills for interaction with IT development and support staff and customer areas of the company.2) Excellent verbal and written communications skills; Comfortable using standard procedures and methodology; Experience working on testing projects and multiple administrative tasks concurrently.3) Demonstrated ability to conduct short follow up meetings with both team members and internal clients/customers to address current issues and implement solutions.4) Five or more years of IT experience; Three solid years experience as a test analyst across multiple technical platforms.5) Solid experience working as the sole test analyst on multiple fluid, dynamic projects; Solid experience leading multiple testing projects from start to finish; Solid experience developing test plans/strategies, test cases, and test scripts.Required Technical Skills1) Software Quality Control/Testing Analyst - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Possess a thorough understanding of development and testing methodologies; Experience testing in both waterfall and iterative development environments.2) Use of Test Tools: Mercury and/or Rational - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Experience using the Mercury (Test Director/Quality Center) and/or Rational testing tools (Requisite Pro, Test Manager, Clear Quest) for test management, requirements traceability and defect tracking3) Testing estimates - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.Experience creating estimates for testing effort on both small and large scale projects4) Windows/Web and/or Client Server testing - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Recent solid testing experience in a Windows/Web-enabled environment; Recent solid testing experience in client-server applications5) Microsoft Office Suite - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access and ProjectPreferred Technical Skills1) Project planning - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.Experience creating & maintaining work plans/project plans in Microsoft Project2) Website development - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.Ability to maintain a web site using Macromedia Dreamweaver software3) Testing tools (other) - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.Experience with Mercury QTP 6.5, Rational ROBOT, RadView Webload4) WebSphere/JAVA runtime environments - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.5) Miscellaneous Skills - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.Experience using TOAD and SQL development to query databases and create test data; Experience using XML; Background in applications development; Experience with load and stress testingWorking EnvironmentWork Location: St. Louis, MOWork Schedule: 8-5; Mon. - Fri.; Overtime as requiredOn-call Requirement: N/ATravel Requirement: Possible local onlyAvg Weekly Overtime Hrs: 0
