Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance (QA) individuals are responsible for establishing and supporting quality standards in the development of systems solutions. They develop best practice methodologies for the system development life cycle and for the testing of new or modified software systems. They research and recommend automation tools used in project management, applications development and testing. They will participate in the development and review of life cycle phase deliverables, the recommendation, selection, architecture, installation and training of tools and the planning, creation and execution of testing activities. The QA interacts with project teams that include developers, analysts, project managers and client representatives.

QA individuals have an understanding of applicable programming languages, testing tools, as well as a strong knowledge of systems life cycle testing. Understanding TQM and CMM quality principles and exhibiting thoroughness are paramount for success in this role. Required skills include: business analysis, business case analysis, C#, data modeling, defect management, documentation, functional analysis, Java, MS Access, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio, Oracle, shell scripting, SQL Server, web testing, and Windows 2000. Candidates will also need intermediate PC, interpersonal, leadership, organizational, planning, presentation, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills. Life cycle development, process management, process optimization, project management, project methodology, project planning, quality assurance, requirements gathering, systems analysis, test planning, testing, process mapping, business flows, and swimlanes experience is also required. This position is contract for hire.
