Quality Assurance Associate

In this position you will design and execute test cases against various software products. You will review requirements, design documentation and discuss with business and technical personnel as inputs. Review requirements & designs for understanding & testability prior to sign-off. You will design /maintain test plans including cycles, cases/condition, expected results, req.’s mapping and execute and validate test cases/scripts and identify discrepancies of actual versus expected. Facilitate SIR resolution with functional and technical groups and work closely with remote testers at vendor location.

Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree ore equivalent experience and 3+ years experience in test planning, execution and validation or application development in similar environment. Additional experience in test collaboration, application development or other related areas is preferred. You must have a solid understanding of software test planning, execution and validation familiarity with multiple operating systems (i.e. UNIX, Windows NT, and Windows 2000), developer toolsets and end-user systems is needed. Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials, HR, and ESA strongly recommended. Experience with various testing tools and methods required (Quick Test Professional & Test Director and PVCS Tracker) Solid knowledge and experience with SQL is required. Web, PeopleSoft, Accounting and/or Ops (e.g. Browsers, Mail systems) related software testing experience, a plus. Must have familiarity with the overall application development life cycle, have strong analytical and problem solving ability. Excellent oral and written communication skills also required.
