Quality Assurance - Build Manager/Tester

Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Build Manager/Tester to build and deliver multiple versions of the system software in a consistent and predictable manner, within aggressive timelines

Main Function Of The Job: To build and deliver multiple versions of the system software in a consistent and predictable manner, within aggressive timelines

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible to work with appropriate groups to build and implement the test environment in New York.
- Work with development personnel to define configuration management and build procedures for multiple locations and environments (London and New York).
- Control code deliveries to the baseline, perform builds and deployments to various test environments, and develop and test procedures to deliver builds to production.
- Processes shall be aligned and consistent with processes in use for other Fixed Income systems.
- Deploy software to the test environment.
- Manage software and test configurations.
- Coordinate with other environment owners within the company and perform checkout to ensure test team has an available and stable end to end test platform
- Assist in tracking test progress and reporting results as requested.
- Perform execution of test scripts and exploratory testing based on product and business knowledge.
- Document and track defects to closure. Perform this function for the test team if requested.
- Estimate effort and schedule for own work.

Job Experience:
Experience required:
- 3+ years of large-scale implementation and project (scope, time, application and technical resources) experience in a large corporate environment.
- Attention to detail
- Basic Java Knowledge.
- Experience with a variety of build tools: Maven/Ant/Visual C++
- Experience of continuous integration environments: Cruisecontrol
- Experience with source control management systems: Perforce and Clearcase.
- Experience with defect and change management systems: Clearquest and UCM integration with ClearCase.
- Experience of Eclipse and other IDEs.
- Prior development experience.
- Possess extensive experience of implementing a test environment within an Investment Bank.
- Full understanding of full lifecycle methodology and processes.
- Complete understanding of implementation methodology (preferably iterative, agile)
- Capital markets (including interest rate derivatives) experience including an understanding of front to back office process flows and straight through processing helpful.
- Full understanding of QA methodology and processes
- Complete understanding of implementation methodology (preferably iterative, agile)
- Experience with test management and defect management tools: Test Director, ClearQuest

Preferred:
- 5+ years of large-scale implementation and project (scope, time, application and technical resources) experience in a large corporate environment.
- Interest rate derivative product knowledge helpful
