Quality Assurance Manager

Our client located in the Pittsburgh area has a full time opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager.  The chosen candidate must possess a four year degree.  The position requires the following:


1. Excellent leadership, analytic and communication skills with an aptitude for technical design.
2. Fast learner in a computerized environment.
3. Excellent writing skills.

4. Experience with web content and web delivery.
5. Tolerance for unstructured situations. Ability to effect and manage change.
6. Ability to be effective independently and as a member of a team.
7. Working Knowledge of Web Site Operation/Design, Web Servers, and Databases.

8. Working knowledge of SDLC.

 

This position will be responsible for working with fellow team members to develop QA processes and procedures, and to assist with the quality assurance of our client?s software systems and courseware to support the business operations as directed by functional management.  Other responsibilities will include:

1. Develop processes and procedures to develop and standardize a QA department.

2. Conduct quality assurance processes on our client?s software and systems.

3. Develop test plans for QA of web-based applications and systems.

4. Develop test plans and processes for QA of course content and usability to ensure consistency.

5. Build gated release plans.

6. Maintain and update documentation regarding operational procedures.
7. Work closely with other functional team members and consultants to assure cohesive development across the system.
8. Submit regular status reports to the Director of Technology.
9. Conduct regular briefings with management and end-users.
