Quality Assurance Manager to $149k+ -

Job Description: The manager will have overall responsibility for developing and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Assurance Program Project that complies with Federal requirements, and as needed, for other projects. Responsibilities include the review of design, contract, and procurement documents, as well as test, operating, and maintenance procedures to verify that quality aspects have been considered in the development and delivery phases of the project. The Quality Assurance Manager will work closely with the Construction Quality Assurance Manager to assure that all contractors assigned to the project maintain Quality Management Systems that satisfy requirements, are up-to-date, and effective. The Quality Assurance Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the adequacy of Quality Assurance Plans to be implemented by the project contractors, their subcontractors, vendors and suppliers providing for consistency and adequacy of the control measures; and ensuring that the Quality Assurance Program for the project is understood, implemented, and maintained by all project participants, through all the design and construction processes.

The qualified manager, Quality Assurance, must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field and an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Quality Assurance including design control, document control, process control, inspection and testing, product identification and trace ability, and quality audits. The manager will be a leader, negotiator and problem solver with project management experience on projects of similar size, scope and complexity, and significant experience preparing and implementing Quality Plans and procedures for design and/or construction. In addition, the candidate must have extensive knowledge of project management scheduling, code compliance review procedures, and multi-discipline engineering and construction principles; excellent oral, written and presentation skills; and be a quick learner, able to assimilate procedures related to project management, document control, financial and administrative systems. A Professional Engineer's or Registered Architect's License in NY or NJ is desirable; Quality Assurance and/or professional safety certification, and Proficiency in related specifications such as ASME, BS, NACE, etc, is also desirable.
