Quality Assurance / Technical Documentation Specialist

InterCerve, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance / Technical Documentation Specialist for their sqlSentry product development team. The key responsibilities include implementation and management of structured QA methodologies; development of software documentation; and level 1 technical support to customers.

sqlSentry (www.sqlsentry.net) is the premier scheduling and notification management system for SQL Server. sqlSentry optimizes SQL Server performance through a more refined visual method for scheduling and monitoring the performance impact of jobs as well as events/tasks outside of SQL Server.  The sqlSentry notification system is the most comprehensive and reliable system available today for SQL Server, Windows Task Scheduler, and others.

Required Qualifications
? Strong customer service skills, extremely high attention to detail, aggressive troubleshooting, and strong decision-making skills
? Understanding of product development lifecycles and processes
? Experience with structured QA methodologies
? Experience implementing and utilizing automated testing systems
? Excellent writing and grammatical skills
? 3+ years experience developing and executing software acceptance tests
? 3+ years technical writing experience in a related area

Desired Qualifications
? Experience using and testing applications which utilize Microsoft SQL Server and .NET
? 1+ years experience in a customer support position

Key Responsibilities
? Define, plan and conduct test procedures to evaluate software products and verify readiness for production release.
? Management and tracking of exceptions submitted by users via sqlSentry?s integrated exception reporting system.
? Interface with the development team and clients as needed.
? Recommend methods for continual improvement of the software coding, error handling, and development process.
? Develop and maintain documentation pertaining to software including training materials, user manuals and online help tools.
? Prepare technical articles and brochures to support the sales process.
? Provide level 1 technical support to customers.
