Quality Technician

CITY: Houston STATE: Texas COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Assist the Quality Engineer in the maintenance of the quality system implemented at GE Sensing.
* Responsible for maintenance of quality records.
* Performing quality audits, inspection activities including incoming and outgoing.
* Initiating shipment of inspected products, ensuring appropriate certificates and data are included with relevant products.
* Filing and other clerical duties as necessary and extensive interaction with other departments to achieve the above listed functions.
* Support external audits and certifications, and drive resolution of audit findings.
* Work with suppliers on resolving quality issues.
* Work with production to understand and drive changes in manufacturing processes in order to reduce cycle time, while maintaining or improving product quality.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* High School Diploma.
* Solid understanding of industry quality certification and standards.
* Strong team player and team leader. Good motivational and interpersonal skills.
* Good computer and software's skills.
* Excellent communication skills including both written and verbal.
* Change agent with a can-do attitude.
* Ability to understand the big picture, as well as drill down into the details to identify key issues and bottlenecks.
* Able to read/interpret drawings.
* Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
* You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
* You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.
* You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.

Desired:
* Six Sigma certification.
* Certified Inpsector.
* Familiarity with MRP and ERP systems.
* ISO9001 or AS9100 experience.
