Duties


? Provide software development, analytical, and data modeling capabilities in support of a commodity trading desk.
? Participate in a team environment developing software solutions involving data manipulation and analytical modeling
? Proficiency in implementing analytical models in software
? Proficiency in organizing and manipulating large quantities of data in analytical processes
? Work with traders and others in an agile development environment to define, capture, implement and verify requirements
? Provide recommendations on how to improve existing processes and systems
? Bring specialized skills with quantitative develop techniques and tools to the organization
? Perform unit, regression, and systems testing of data intensive software systems
? Provide support for existing solutions
? Identify problems, assess alternatives, and apply the best solution

Requirements


Required:
? 5+ years experience as a programmer/analyst
? 5+ years experience with object oriented programming languages, particularly C++, Java, C#
? 5+ Years experience with database programming
? 5+ years developing RDBMS client/server applications
Preferred:
? Strong math aptitude
? Development and support of trading and/or analytical systems
? Experience with component based software development
? Understanding of UML and software design patterns
? Experience with object-oriented software development life cycle methodology
C++, .NET and/or Java
MATLAB and/or SPLUS
Education Required:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or 5+ years of equivalent experience
Education Preferred:
Training in financial mathematics and/or statistical analysis a plus.
