RBSS Finance & Budget Sys Mgr

Job Description: Join a winning team with a proud history! Chevy Chase Bank, the largest bank headquartered in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, continues to experience rapid growth. Chevy Chase Bank currently has an opening for a Finance Budget Systems Manager in Bethesda, MD.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Integrate data from various systems to maximize efficiencies related to the tracking of Branch FTE s and associated budget processes.

Access multiple databases using SAS and provide ongoing reporting that supports information-based decision making, measure the execution of bank strategy and identifies opportunities for improving existing processes.

Utilize available tools to access, manipulate and analyze data from multiple sources in an effort to provide effective business solutions.

Develop test and maintain bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly report packages that illustrate progress toward the Retail Banking Division's strategic objectives.

Investigate and define system capabilities, evaluate current and potential system technology needs for improved performance.

Continually work to improve efficiency of reporting and processing in use.

Work with non-technical personnel to identify and address data collection, analysis and reporting needs.

Work closely with senior management and retail bank accounting to understand financial challenges and implement problem resolution strategies.

Provides backup support to the Staffing Coordinator.
REQUIREMENTS:


Expertise with Statistical Analysis Software (SAS).

4 years SAS programming experience.

Proficiency with spreadsheet and database software.

Ability to work effectively with various departments across the Bank and individuals at all levels including senior management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Problem resolution and decision making skills.

Familiar with employment regulations/requirements.

Maintain confidentiality with salary data and other sensitive employment information.

Proven analytical ability (preferably in a bank or financial area).

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems or Business Management).

Experience with spreadsheet analysis and database design/management.

Financial modeling and forecasting background.
