RCE Developer

Merlin International is currently seeking an RCE (Reports Conversions Extensions) Developer to join its Professional Services Division for one of our federal projects immediately.

Key Responsibilities include:

?

* Perform the detailed design of application and technical architecture components.

* Develop common test data.

* Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components.

* Work with other programmers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.

* Follow good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities. * Participate in code, final deliverable, and user acceptance reviews.

* Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project.

* Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components to the testers.

* Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing.

* Document the application to facilitate maintenance.

* Provide technical support during assembly test and product test * Conduct Peer Reviews for quality assurance.

Required Skills:

?

- Ability to work independently with minimal assistance - Previous development experience preferred

- Trained or experienced in implementing Oracle

- Trained in Oracle - Strong problem solving skills: able to logically break down a problem into smaller manageable parts to solve

- Understanding of basic object oriented concepts preferred

- Knowledge of how to develop the package application, e.g., SQL, PL/SQL skills

- Knowledge of how to develop other aspects of the application, e.g., UNIX, Java, etc.

- Knowledge of Oracle Forms & Reports, Discoverer Reports, and development tools
