six month CONTRACT TO HIRE POSITION for a Greenbelt, MD based managed information technology solutions provider.They seek a Remedy Approved Consultant or a Remedy Skilled Professional for their Network Operations Center.  Resumes to: DFath@PEPIcorp.com

 

The Remedy Consultant position requires, but is not limited to, extensive and demonstrable recent experience in designing applications that both leverage and extend Remedy's packaged solutions, as well as building custom applications on Remedy's Action Request System version 6.x. A current Remedy Approved Consultant certification or Remedy Skilled Professional is required, as is the ability to spec out and stand-up suitable hardware platforms (Windows and Solaris required; HPUX is a plus!) for use by Remedy ARS. This includes the ability to install the OS, database (Oracle and/or MS SQL) software and perform full installation, integration, configuration, and tailoring of the BMC BSM suite.

 

Good customer relations and interpersonal skills are a must, and experience in training both user and admin personnel on Remedy solutions is highly desirable. Availability to travel locally to customer sites for pre-sales demonstrations, requirements analysis, and implementation is required. Project management skills and experience are also a plus.

 

This position requires business process definition in the Service Management space, and fluency with the BMC product line to include (but not necessarily limited to) Help Desk, customer relationship management (CRM), Asset Management, Change Management, SLA Management, Service Impact Management, Marimba, and custom business processes. Gathering requirements, designing and leading implementations of solutions based on the Remedy AR System, ITSM suite, and CSS product set are the heart of this requirement.

Required:

?Remedy Approved Consultant (or Remedy Skilled Professional)

 

?2-5 Years recent Remedy Experience

 

?Familiarity with multiple Operating Systems to include Windows Server 2000/2003, Sun Solaris, HP-US, Linux etc.

 

?A working knowledge of several database platforms - Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Sybase, etc.

 

Desired:

?1-2 Years web design

?1-2 years Java Scripting
