Position Description:

Individual will be responsible for the preparation, execution and results reporting and analysis of complex software applications and system functionality. Testing will be used to verify successful implementation of application requirements. Test Automation Engineer will develop automated test procedures based on existing manual test procedures or based on new problems encountered. The Engineer will also execute existing and new test procedures on a regular basis. Direct communication and collaboration with ALL members of the Team is absolutely essential and a thorough understanding of application requirements is vital to success.



Required Skills:

- Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience

- 3+ years of advanced development experience with test automation software (not just record/playback) Rational Robot experience (required)

- 3+ years of hands-on software and system testing (mainly client/server)

- Working knowledge of basic programming logic and structures

- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases

- Candidates must be aware of Professional Corporate Culture Expected Behavior, (ability to explain professionalism and provide examples of how they manage themselves and relationships within the professional environment; example calling into work if they will not be able to come in and ability to work a consistent, full-time schedule)

- Solid, demonstrated knowledge of QA processes, CM and CMM

Preferred Skills:

- Ability to explain and discuss the pros and cons of several test automation approaches including data-driven frameworks

- Familiarity with SQA Users Group

- Software development/design experience

- Experience with Medical Systems

- Knowledge of DoD test and evaluation policies and practices

- Familiarity with PVCS Tracker, VSS, and other Testing Tools

- Familiarity with Microsoft?s COM technology

- Understanding of XML

- Familiarity with Software development Life Cycle and Requirements Development

- Experience in Quality Assurance-metrics collection and analysis

- Experience in Process Improvement/Process Development

- Experience working with End Client Support

- Experience as Test Team Leader
