We are seeking someone with 5+ years experience supporting, adminstering and integrating ClearCase, ClearQuest, UCM and Requisite Pro. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

Plan and conducts the installation, configuration, implementation and support of IBM Rational software development tools.

Responsibilities

*Design tool implementation strategies to support development processes.

*Install and configure IBM Rational development support tools.

*Train and mentor users and administrators.

*Design and implement schemas to support configuration management policies.

*Define and document branching and view creation methodologies

*Identify trade offs and select the architecture that best meets customers needs.

*Communicate the development support tool architecture using a combination of visual models, presentations, oral and written communications

*Integrate IBM Rational development support tools with each other and with other development tools.

*Continually remain aware of the latest technologies.

*Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.

*Mentor and review other less senior tools specialists.

*Understand how changes to support tool configuration affect and inform software development lifecycle methodologies.

*Evaluate customer development process and make necessary recommendations, when required.

*Establish configuration management and tool implementation standards.

*Make design and configuration decisions that reflect an understanding of industry trends and customer needs.

*Understand the benefits of competing methods for tool use (ex: support both Base and Unified Change Management usage of ClearCase)

*Develop and implement ClearCase triggers and ClearQuest hooks.

*Introduce new technologies to Number Six technical staff that can improve overall software development capability.

*Team leadership and project management

*Analytical skills, including use case/UML

*Deep problem solving skills

*Articulating and communicating technical concepts to others
