The position is located in Northbrook, IL

 

The purpose of the department is Records and Information Management (RIM), part of Allstate Information Security. Allstate recognizes the importance of promoting compliance with all necessary legal records retention requirements as well as economy and efficiency in the management of company records and information. RIM is responsible for the development and management of Allstate's Records and Information Management Program.

 

The scope of this job is to administer and maintain the Allstate RIM Initiative for the enterprise. The RIM Initiative provides guidelines to business units for properly establishing a Business Unit RIM Program based on business, legal, financial and regulatory requirements and assists them with developing standards and procedures for implementing an effective RIM program. The RIM Program helps business units to establish systematic management of all records, regardless of media, from their creation or receipt, through their processing, distribution, organization, storage, and retrieval to their disposition, and/or retention as necessary. 

 

The individual will be responsible for

 

1. Administrating and maintaining the enterprise-wide RIM Initiative/Program.

2. Maintaining current processes, standards and documentation for the management of company records.

3. Administrating the company litigation hold process.

4. Interacting with business units to clearly define RIM Program expectations as they relate to individual business units.

5. Process improvement.

2. Intermediate - Attention to detail and adheres to enterprise-wide processes and operational procedures.

3. Intermediate - Communication skills - presentation, interpersonal, written and oral.

4. Intermediate - Work effectively with cross-functional teams, develop and maintain business relationships.

 

Experience Required:

Ideal candidate will possess solid project and relationship management skills and knowledge of Allstate business units. As knowledge of or deserve to become proficient in records management.

 

Computer Proficiency:

MS Office Products.

 

Education:

College Degree - Preferred
