Reference Data Billing Analyst

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Working under general supervision, the incumbent is responsible for table updates of the enterprise billing applications, using a graphical user interface. Responsibility involves adhering to implementation policies and procedures between the billing vendor and the company. Also, responsible for Tier 3 support of billing issues while helping to define requirements for new cellular offers with regards to billing system functionality.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Support the Marketing team as a subject matter expert for all new customer campaigns including new rate plans, customer communications via invoice message, and promotions
2. Support Inter-carrier Services in all pricing and clearing issues. Provide expertise in current system setup and provide direction for new projects and pricing structures
3. Manage the company telephone number inventory and support the WLNP department
4. Act as subject matter expert in test case reviews for Atlys billing system code maintenance and new code releases. Offer suggestions on testing and review documents to ensure the business needs are being addressed
5. Billing representative in usage and provisioning projects.
6. Participate in a on-call rotation for support for all billing critical applications. Duties include notifying impacted areas of the business and executive management while coordinating the resolution of the problem with vendors and internal teams
7. Perform everyday maintenance of reference data related to price plans, billing maintenance, etc.
8. Review pricing related tables and reports for audit purposes.
9. Verification of testing, related to pricing tables and customer invoices.
10. Maintain Issue Log of completed work and weekly status reports.
11. Responsible for escalating issues to MIS/Testing/ Billing Vendors as needed.
12. Responsible for tracking and documentation of a your assigned issues.
13. Liaison between various business units and the billing vendor.
14. Create reports as requested.
15. Monitor control points in the billing process and compare data.
16. Perform cycle end review and invoice releases

18. Adheres to policies and procedures.
? Attends work on time as scheduled.
? Required to call in to report an absence no less than two hours prior to the start of the shift by contacting the supervisor directly and stating reason for absence.
? Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
Professional and effective oral and written communication skills. HS diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree or four years relevant work experience in Business, Accounting, MIS or Collections required. Strong math skills and experience in Cellular/Telephone billing functions. Experience with price plan creation/implementation. Able to work under minimal supervision. Experience in managing small projects. Atlys billing or similar experience preferred. PPM application or similar experience preferred. Experience with mediation and activation/provisioning systems is preferred. Basic SQL knowledge/Microsoft Access experience preferred. Intermediate skills in typing, 10-key punch and computer skills such as: Microsoft Windows and Excel, and Report Writer. Preferred wireless communications, billing and point of sale system experience preferred.
