Regional Director of Information Services

SuperValu Eastern Region is currently looking for a Regional Director of Information Services to join their Information Technology team.

 

The responsibilities for this position are as follows:

 Maintain current knowledge of vendor equipment, software application development plans and Region Data Center capacity issues to formulate plans to acquire appropriate computer capacity for business growthDirect local implementation o the corporate disaster recovery strategyDefine and implement the organizational structure of the Region Information Technology departmentCoordinate the development of detailed plans for hardware and software installations with user and corporate personnel Develop subordinates technical, analytic, business and managerial skillsMonitor the performance of the various components of computer systemProvide technical counsel, training and support to usersNegotiate and establish contract agreements with suppliers and other service vendors Manage the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and assigned personnel for Personal Computers.

 

Candidates interested in applying should possess the following qualifications:

 Four-year college degree (B.S. in Business Administration/or Computer Science) or experience plus ten (10) progressive years of business experience in I/SManaged multi-vendor, multi-platform computer center with extensive telecommunications mgmt experienceExcellent customer service abilitiesExcellent interpersonal and leadership skills Excellent managerial skills with the ability to manage multiple location activitiesThree (3) to five (5) years in a direct management roleApplication system development methodology knowledge of office systems, client/server concept and help desk experience
