To help us continue driving their business forward, our client is in search of experienced, top-tier Release Engineer to join their team in Santa Clara, CA.

This is a 3-month contract position and the pay for this position is based on a competitive market .

Job Description:

Activities include preparing software build and release environments. Performing regular software builds, troubleshooting and resolving build issues, with version control, branching, and managing multiple release versions of multiple products.

Maintain a release control process, to integrate management processes with effective logging and reporting. Effectively interface and relate to developers.

 

Requirements:

 

3 years UNIX experience

1-2 years release engineering experience

1 year UNIX system administration experience

Basic PERL and/or  shell scripting knowledge

Ability to understand and operate in a CVS environment
