They are about to embark on a multi-year mission to transform the company's legacy applications to open systems. As part of this initiative, they are in need of 3-4 experienced Systems Analysts/Sr. Programmer Analysts to fill integral roles on their team. In this position you will design and architect new systems interfaces, and will lead the development of new web-based applications for use by the company's retail store locations. The new environment be a mixture of Oracle (databases and applications), Lawson (HR/PR and GL), Retek ( RMS and RDW) and Manhattan Associates (Warehouse Management, Labor Management and/or Productivity Management), running on an AIX Unix platform. Ideal candidates will possess 5-10 years experience in a similar role, will have prior retail industry experience, and will come from a programming background (Oracle, J2EE or C++, with some exposure to web services using JSP and/or ASP). Required Experience
5-10 years in a Systems Analyst/Sr. Programmer Analyst role
Retail Industry experience with Merchandise Planning and Allocation, Sales Audit, Loss Prevention, POS and/or Sales Analysis
Excellent understanding of Systems Design/Architecture
Programming background - ideally with Oracle (PL/SQL, Forms, etc), J2EE and/or C++
Prior business process design and improvement
Excellent communications skills
Any exposure to the following is highly preferred: Retek RMS and RDW, Oracle Financials, Lawson and/or Manhattan Associates softwareRequired Skills
