SAN Engineer, Senior Level
The SAN engineer must have at least 6 years of experience working with SAN systems. The SAN engineer must have expertise with all aspects of the SAN storage and SAN switches. Must be able to architect, design, install, configure, manage and troubleshoot SAN systems in production. Duties include configuration of LUNs in different RAID configurations such as 1, 0, 10, and 5, implementation of LUN masking and LUN carving, implementation of Fiber-Channel connectivity among servers, switches, and SAN storage devices, performance tuning, and implementation of SAN based data recovery technologies such as snapmirrors.
The SAN Engineer must have extensive experience working in highly available, mission critical environments. Must have experience implementing redundant host connections, cluster connectivity, and other high availability configurations.
This position requires routine on-call duties during non-business hours.
The position is location independent and virtual support can be provided with the understanding that there will be two trips required within the first 90 days of employment.
