Job Description:

The person in this role will become a member of the Procurement/Payables team, which is part of our client's Global ERP team. The candidate will focus on developing a custom hedging application within our clients ERP SAP R/3 environment.

Key responsibilities will include bridging SAP R/3 and other software processes with business requirements to accomplish the intended business design, meet business requirements and enable best practices. They will define and document requirements, design a process and develop a solution that bridges some SAP R/3 configuration in conjunction with a custom ABAP/4 application in order to facilitate an important business process as part of a large, integrated domestic redesign project. The successful candidate will collaborate with other members of the project team (Finance, ABAP and BI) in order to satisfy both technical and business requirements and drive the design to completion within the established project timeframe.

5. Most of this job will be writing specifications for custom programs to pull pricing data from standard and custom tabnles in SAP and make that data available to the folks performing our clients hedging function in Treasury.

 

Required Skills as Well:

BS/BA in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent experience required.

Specific, in-depth, experience in technical development or support of information systems.

Knowledge of business processes in one or more of the following R/3 disciplines: FI/CO, MM-Purchasing, FI-A/P.

A general knowledge of commodity futures Hedging concepts and practices.

Experience in SAP design and configuration. Specific, in-depth experience in functional design development and support of information systems.

Ability to visualize, define and specify custom applications with the assistance of an ABAP Developer.

A demonstrated proficiency in team communication and working as an effective member of a team.

Superior analytical skills to think through complex, multidimensional problems.

A demonstrated contribution to delivery of information technology solutions and the ability to independently drive issue resolution and achieve user ownership.

Develop business knowledge and relationships and apply technical alternatives while operating in a rapidly changing business environment.

 

Skills are a Plus:

The ability to read/write ABAP code is a plus.

An MBA is considered a plus.

Experience with SAP BI considered a plus.
